Wooden Gate in Washington State

Thanks to Brandon of BDR, LLC for sharing his DuraGates sliding gate project with us. This lightweight wooden gate was built using the CGS-250.8M model and blends seamlessly with the surrounding wooden fence. The gate covers a 5'6" driveway opening, stands 6 feet tall, weighs under 500 pounds, and measures 8'6" in total length including the tail section.Brandon generously documented the installation process from start to finish, providing clear insight into the preparation and setup. The photos highlight the concrete slab box prior to the pour, as well as a custom carriage-placement jig he fabricated to ensure the carriages were level and positioned accurately. The project also showcases how the Locinox sliding gate lock securely holds the gate when closed, while still allowing smooth, effortless operation.
