For this stunning, contemporary private residence in Japan, Haddonstone supplied a collection of cast stonework from both our Building & Construction and Home & Garden ranges, helping to create an elegant outdoor environment that both complements and contrasts with the traditional Japanese aesthetic.Working closely with Mamiko Imoto of Pac-Rim Building Supply, who facilitated the export from the USA to Japan, our team manufactured a selection of signature pieces crafted at our Pueblo, Colorado facility.All stonework was produced in Portland color, using both our durable dry-cast Haddonstone material, and our TecStone wet-cast material for the garden designs and structural components, ensuring both visual appeal and long-lasting performance.The project featured our Greek-Inspired Planters from the Robert A.M. Stern Collection, including the Olympian Urn and Small Olympian Bowl, alongside the Scrolled Jardiniere, providing classical accents throughout the immaculately landscaped gardens.A standout feature of the residence is the custom freestanding pergola, designed and positioned to create a dramatic entrance-way behind the property’s modern iron gates. Constructed from six smooth M7 columns with Tuscan capitals and bases, topped with a pergola beam and coping, this elegant structure forms a gently curving gateway along the driveway, adding presence and architectural structure to the outdoor space.From concept to delivery, the project demonstrates the versatility of Haddonstone’s cast stone range, and the seamless integration of our materials into international settings, combining classical design, quality craftsmanship, and practical durability.
