This project beautifully reflects the homeowners' values and legacy, who sought to extend the restoration of their historic home into the surrounding landscape. Their vision was to create a space where they could raise their children, embrace self-sufficiency, and capture the charm of a traditional American homestead. To bring this vision to life, the Vande Hey team: • Rebuilt the front stoop and walkway, originally constructed without a foundation. • Designed easy-to-mow foundation beds with room for future work. • Installed a patio connecting the house to the garage. • Created space for raised garden beds to support canning.• Planted fruit trees and additional soft, natural beds around the property.
