Flower Beetle
Flower Beetle
The Flower Beetle represents the largest member of our Bug Beat collection, which consists of musical instruments designed to produce engaging auditory experiences. Its distinctive black and white body, alongside its vibrant red wings, sets it apart visually. Each instrument within this collection features wings constructed from a durable, reinforced hollow polymer, designed to mimic temple blocks and equipped with notches to provide a textured, tactile surface.Functioning as idiophones, these instruments generate sound through their own vibrational properties. The internal cavity of each block acts as a resonating chamber, amplifying the sound produced when struck with a mallet. This striking action elicits a pronounced, echoing tonal quality. Furthermore, the surface notches allow for scraping with the mallet, generating a ratchet sound akin to the acoustic output of a güiro.Installation options include mounting on a stainless-steel post or retrofitting using specialized fixings compatible with our existing musical instruments, play equipment, fences, and walls, ensuring versatility and ease of integration into various outdoor environments.
