Honey Beetle
Honey Beetle
The Honey Beetle represents the mid-sized variant in our Bug-Beats collection, characterized by its distinctive yellow body and green wings. This collection encompasses a series of outdoor musical idiophones designed to deliver engaging auditory experiences. Each instrument features wings constructed from a durable, reinforced hollow polymer, designed in the style of temple blocks, and incorporates notched surfaces that enhance tactile interaction. As idiophones, the Honey Beetle generates sound through the vibration of its material. The internal architecture of each block functions as a resonating chamber, amplifying acoustic output when struck with a mallet. The design allows for versatile sound production; in addition to being percussively struck, the notched edges can be scraped with the mallet to create a ratchet effect reminiscent of a güiro.Installation options for Bug-Beats include mounting on a sturdy stainless steel post or utilizing retrofittable fittings compatible with existing instruments, playground equipment, fences, or structural walls, ensuring versatility in deployment in various environments.
