Adequate sealing of Construction Joints involves not just the achievable fire and smoke ratings, but also surviving the movement of the underlying joint. STI is a leader in the development of construction joint firestop materials offering products and solutions that exceed even the most extreme of movement needs. Our SpecSeal® ES Sealant and SpecSeal® AS200 Elastomeric Spray have been tested to accomodate joint movements of up to 25% and 50% respectively.In conditions where 100% compression and extension of the joint is mandatory, traditional methods fall short. In these exceptionally high movement conditions, only SpeedFlex™ Track Top Gasket and SpeedFlex™ Joint Profile are up to the task. The SpeedFlex™ Joint Profile further enhances the movement capability of our SpecSeal® AS200 Spray accommodating 100% movement on up to a 3/4” wide joint. The SpeedFlex™ Track Top Gasket provides 100% movement on up to a 1/2” wide joint and is installed while the wall is being constructed, eliminating the need to revisit the joint afterward to apply sealants or sprays.
