Wishbone Site Furnishings
Wishbone Industries is a producer of quality outdoor site furniture made from durable recycled materials. Each piece of our benches, receptacles and picnic tables is sustainably constructed by transforming household waste such as milk jugs and pop cans into functional, long lasting site furnishings. Unlike traditional wood site furnishings, Wishbone's replast and aluminum products are built to last and are proven to be low maintenance. Seen in cities throughout Canada and the United States, chances are, you have already tested out a Wishbone bench.
Vincent Straight Bench
Vincent Straight Bench 6ft Frame ( VSB-6 )
We collaborated with landscape architect (Dylan Chernoff @ DKL Durante Kreuk), on this new design that we call, The Vincent. He liked the angles of our Rutherford picnic table and the finished clean look of the ends our Bayside Park Bench yet felt that neither design would be strong enough for the high use and high impact application it was intended for. We considered various options. In areas where the products were going to be installed, there was high likelihood that they would be “grinded” by the local skateboard community. It is for this reason the built-in skate blocks play a large part in this design. They help to protect the product while not compromising comfort.Product branding was also important. A metal transition piece was attached between the leg supports that could be labeled or routered for this purpose. In our landscape architect’s case, it was the name and logo of the university which added the perfect finishing touch. The Vincent design exemplifies our ability to partner with our clients, and that by joining forces as a team, accomplish more than on our own.
