UltraBlade with Thatch
UltraBlade with Thatch 80
UltraBlade with Thatch builds on proven UltraBlade slit-film durability with added infill stability and a fuller underfoot feel. The system combines UltraBlade parallel long-slit fibrillated fiber with a texturized polyethylene thatch layer that helps hold infill in place and supports a cleaner, more consistent playing surface through repeated use.First pioneered by Sprinturf in 1998, UltraBlade technology has been installed on more than 3,500 fields and is manufactured in-house in the USA. UltraBlade with Thatch uses a 120-micron primary slit-film fiber with proprietary Exxon metallocene resin for strength, resilience, and long-term wear resistance. A 100-micron texturized polyethylene thatch layer adds density below the playing surface, giving the turf a fuller appearance while improving infill control and surface stability.UltraBlade with Thatch routinely exceeds 100,000 cycles in Lisport accelerated wear testing, giving field owners documented proof behind its durability and wear resistance. From pellet to play, Sprinturf’s integrated process provides clear accountability behind product quality and field performance, resulting in a high-performing surface where athletes can compete with confidence and communities have reliable access to the fields they count on.
