About the ProjectWisconsin Rapids Public Schools developed the Lincoln High School Athletic Quadplex to create a premier synthetic turf baseball and softball complex capable of supporting student athletes, youth sports organizations, and the greater Wisconsin Rapids community. The project was designed to modernize the district’s athletic infrastructure while expanding programming opportunities and improving long-term field durability and usability. The quadplex features four synthetic turf competition fields supplied by Sprinturf, and serves as a cornerstone investment in the district’s athletic campus improvements. Architectural and civil engineering services were provided by Point of Beginning, Inc. (POB), while Altmann Construction Company, Inc., led construction efforts for the multi-field development. The ChallengeWisconsin Rapids Public Schools sought to replace aging athletic facilities with a centralized complex capable of supporting intensive seasonal use while minimizing weather-related cancellations and ongoing maintenance demands. Natural grass limitations restricted scheduling flexibility and reduced opportunities for tournament hosting and expanded community use.
