The design team behind Dollywood’s HeartSong Lodge & Resort envisioned an immersive, in-ground fire feature that could serve as a gathering place for guests while complementing the natural character of the Great Smoky Mountains. The challenge was anything but standard. Large existing boulders dictated the layout, requiring precise on-site measurements and close collaboration to engineer a burner system around the surrounding stone. Warming Trends developed six custom brass burners totaling 1.44 million BTUs, creating a continuous fire experience within the irregular landscape. Designed for a high-traffic hospitality environment, the finished feature safely accommodates 20+ guests and is built to perform through extended daily operation and changing weather conditions.
